Long poses with the figure in soft pastel - with Dawn Emerson

When: Saturday, April 21 1:00pm-7:30pm and Sunday, Aprill 22 10:00am-4:30pm
Cost: $180 + $15 model fee

Enjoy the luxury of time to delve into the study of color and values with soft pastels.

We'll do one pose each day and participants may choose to do either portrait or full body studies.

Materials for Dawn Emerson's pastel class:

• Pastels-an assortment of nupastels and soft pastels-not the kitchen sink assortment, but about 150-300 total, including lights and darks.
• Soft paper towels.
• Baby wipes (optional for cleaning hands)
• Several sheets of newsprint for padding under your paper.
• Board for mounting your paper.
• Bulldog clips and masking tape.
• Vine charcoal (not compressed!)
• Binoculars or telephoto lens on a camera for seeing details
• Support: please bring 2 sheets of La Carte paper (19 x 25) sand or earth color, or gesso/pumice ground hand painted on mat board tinted a light grey or beige. I will have some available for purchase if you don't have this.
• Notebook for sketching thumbnails.
