Greyhound Products

The Greyhound is a sleek and elegant breed of dog known for its speed and grace. Originally bred for hunting and racing, Greyhounds were highly prized by royalty and nobility throughout history. The breed is thought to have originated in ancient Egypt and was later brought to Europe by traders and explorers.  In the Middle Ages, Greyhounds were used for hunting game such as deer, hare, and fox. By the 16th century, the breed had become a popular racing dog and continues to be used for racing today.  Greyhounds have also been popular among famous owners, including President Rutherford B. Hayes, who kept a Greyhound named Grim, and actress Mary Tyler Moore, who had a Greyhound named Dash.  Greyhounds are known for their gentle and affectionate nature and are often described as “couch potatoes” due to their love of lounging and napping. However, the breed still retains its hunting instincts and requires regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay healthy and happy. Greyhounds also make excellent therapy dogs due to their calm demeanor and love of human interaction.
