Shih Tzu Products

All Shih Tzu products are handmade at Beau Designs.  The Shih Tzu is a breed of dog that originated in Tibet, where it was bred as a companion animal for royalty and nobility.  The breed’s name translates to “lion dog,” as it was bred to resemble a lion in appearance.  The Shih Tzu is known for its long, flowing coat and friendly disposition.  The Shih Tzu is a small dog that typically weighs 9 to 16 pounds and stands between 9 to 10 inches tall at the shoulder.  They have a long, silky coat that can be a variety of colors, including white, black, gold, and gray.  The breed is known for its friendly and outgoing nature, making it an excellent choice for families with children.  Famous owners of Shih Tzus include the actor and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, who owns a Shih Tzu named Augie, and the actress Mariah Carey, who has several Shih Tzus.  The breed has also been featured in popular culture, such as in the animated film “Mulan,” which features a Shih Tzu named Little Brother as one of the characters.  Today, the Shih Tzu remains a popular breed and is recognized by the American Kennel Club.  They are known for their friendly and outgoing personality and their love of attention and affection from their owners.  With their unique appearance and loyal nature, the Shih Tzu is a beloved breed that has captured the hearts of many dog lovers worldwide.
