Basenjis are fastidious and will groom themselves like cats. The Basenji was bred from stock that originated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The word basenji in the Congo means “dog of the bush” Basenjis are extremely easy to groom and keep clean with a quick wipe with a cloth or brush once or twice weekly.
